The Western Interstate Commission on Higher Education Mental Health
(WICHE) Mental Health Program helps states respond to changing environments
by employing collaborative approaches of regional research, policy analysis,
networking, technical assistance and information sharing. The mission is

consumers and their families; and 2) To advance the preparation of a
qualified workforce in the West.

The Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority is a state corporation that
administers the Alaska Mental Health Trust, a perpetual trust managed on
behalf of
Trust beneficiaries. These beneficiaries include people with mental
illness, chronic alcoholism and other substance related disorders,
developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia, and
traumatic brain injury. The Trust operates much like a private foundation,
using its resources to ensure that Alaska has a
comprehensive integrated mental health program to serve Trust
beneficiaries. Our goal is to serve as a catalyst for change and
improvement in Alaska's mental health continuum of care. To accomplish this,
The Trust funds projects and activities that promote long-term system
change, including capacity building, demonstration projects, funding
partnerships, rural-project technical assistance, and other activities that

community mental health center. WCMHS is one of ten agencies
designated by Vermont statute to assure that a comprehensive range of

outpatient and outreach services for adults and children with less severe
