Reviewers
Put your knowledge and expertise to work by becoming a Journal of Rural Mental Health reviewer.
Do you enjoy reading about recent advances in rural mental health? Do you like to evaluate new delivery approaches or model programs? Do you want to help select the articles published in Journal of Rural Mental Health? If so, consider applying your knowledge by becoming a JRMH reviewer.
The JRMH review board is composed of rural practitioners, researchers, administrators who enjoy reading and evaluating the work of their colleagues. Reviewers are sent manuscripts in their areas of expertise but may decline a request for a manuscript review because of scheduling constraints. Reviewers critique approximately two to three manuscripts per year and offer guidance to authors as they work toward publication in JRMH.
Reviewers are valued volunteers who contribute their professional knowledge and clinical expertise to JRMH. Reviewers are credited as serving on the editorial board. Computer access is also required, because all article reviews are done electronically.
We will provide you with an orientation package that explains the process of doing a review. The editor and associate editors also provide feedback to the reviewers after a review is completed. This feedback helps develop writing and reviewing skills.
